Part of the Hadrian’s Wall UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a large interactive museum, a section of Wall and a 35 metre high viewing tower providing outstanding views across Tyneside there is also a changing programme of exhibitions. There is also a seasonal programme of events including historical re-enactments with gladiators and artisans, to regular events for families during school holidays. Kids under 16 always go free.
Ulster Folk Museum
The Folk Museum tells the story of life in early 20th century Ulster. A bygone era is recreated in a rural landscape of farms, cottages, traditional crops and local breeds of livestock.
